Register for the Plowshares Summer Fun Camp!

 

Plowshares Fun Camp is for children enrolled in 1st through 5th grade in fall 2020 and located at the Newton North High School.   Indoor activities take place in spacious, bright, and air conditioned classrooms.  The program also has access to many of the outside fields and indoor gym spaces for sports and gross motor activities and is an easy walk to Cabot Park and the Newton Free Library.   

 

Plowshares Fun Camp offers an exciting and varied curriculum in areas such as sports, arts/crafts, movement, science, dramatic play, music, and literacy which is designed to be non-pressured and age appropriate.  Each week focuses on a fun theme, and teachers plan activities, theme days, and clubs to make each week interesting and fun. 

Events and Field Trips are also planned to add some extra fun and excitement to the program. Children have free swim daily for 7 weeks at the Newton North Pool and swim lessons are available at an extra charge.

 

Our summer program staff are our own dedicated and professional educators who work year round with the Plowshares Programs. They bring a great deal of knowledge and enthusiasm to the program. Most of our staff have bachelor’s degrees or higher in education and all are certified in CPR and First Aid.
